Great quality camera at a great price.
So far I’ve been very happy with these cameras and the PC Software. The picture looks good and has a wide view. See actual picture from driveway camera just taken while writing this review.PC software is easy to setup the camera and give it a name and it has lots of options. I like lots of options on how I want to use the camera.I think my only complaint right now is the Android App seems to have a lot of problems and though it looks like their working on it to fix it I haven’t wanted to try it as it seems to mess up the camera configuration. Why, I don’t know. So when the reviews get better I may try it.You can view the camera through a browser on the phone but not very well with such a small screen though a very nice feature. You’re not required to use their app to view the camera.Though not a real complaint the Privacy blocker only allows square or rectangular blocks and only 4 at that so trying to cover up the neighbors yard which is at an angle with the camera is not very easy. See picture upper left corner.I’d rather them use the method like blocking out motion areas for like wind chimes or trees that move in the wind and cause false movement notifications. Or add triangles to the way to block areas of the camera.Only gave 4 stars for motion detection which is good but I think it is picking up shadows as movement too. I might see if I can try and reduce the sensitivity of the motion. Better to delete files than to miss something right. On the camera picture I blocked out the license plates for privacy. Thanks,Jeffery

Solid camera, great support
I recently purchased a couple of these ReoLink 520 cameras. They have good picture/video quality both day and night. Like all security cameras that have built in IR illumination the range is less than I’d like but does exactly what it says. If you need additional IR illumination at night you can always use aftermarket IR lights where you have dark spots. The FW on the 500 series is a bit different than the 400 series but after a short time playing around with them I was able to get them configure to work as expected. These cameras work well with third party security software like Blue Iris once you enable the needed options in the camera FW.I also recently had some problems updating the FW on the 400 series cameras I already had and ended up having to open a support case with ReoLink. We were able to work out the issues via their email support. It took a few days of back and forth due to time zone differences but the support people were able to figure out the issue and provide a solution that worked. I would give them 5/5 stars for support if that were an option here.

Review of RLK8-410B4-5MP 4-Camera System – Excellent Product For The Price
For under $350 bucks, this is an excellent working system. One of the few chinese-made products (that I have ever purchased) that works as good as the marketing hype. Just note that the ethernet cable supplied with the kit is weak cat5, unshielded/untwisted indoor-only cable (so I knocked it 1-star for the cheap cable). So buy some real cable…I went with cat6 direct-burial sold-core cable since I was doing a PoE install and I want the wire to hold up for many years while exposed to hot and cold weather elements. Note: I’ve only had the system for 6-weeks so I cant attest to its lifetime…

These cameras are worth the price.. internally speaking
While these are both inside/outside capable, I decided to try one inside the window looking out. Attached is the screenshot I took of my vehicle, with the camera located indoors. Keep in mind, I’m not trying to identify a license plate from the moon. I do have them behind blackout curtains, which I use anyway. I upgraded the firmware with no issue, and set them up with no infrared.. and there was NO reflection. I connected the cameras to Blue Iris 5, and had no problems at all, so I just bought 2 more.Update June15, 2024:After purchasing 2 more cameras. I ran into a problem with setting them up. The 1st camera was my fault. I went unchecked everything thing except RTMP in the network settings, which wouldn’t let my software talk to it. The 2nd camera would not allow me to set a new password. In either case, the reset button didn’t work.In both cases, all I did was open a ticket with Reolink support, and they suggested I use the Client software to access both cameras and reset them. I had them both set up and running in 15 minutes. I couldn’t ask for more. Thanks Reolink Support!

Excellent value CCTV Camera
I bought this, actually 3 to replace my old and obsolete Q-SEE system during the Amazon Prime. The Q-SEE cameras had to tie to their NVR as a system. I thought these cameras too and have to tie to the Reolink NVR. I was wrong. I actually replaced my old Q-SEE cameras with these using my existing POE LAN cables. I purchase a simple inexpensive POE switch, also from Amazon. I connected my POE cameras to the POE switch and then to the LAN through a wired access point AP. I downloaded the Reolink mobil app and added my cameras one by one to the app. Right away, the app recognized my cameras. I then setup my cameras to monitor live and recording features of each of the cameras. Of course I needed to install 256 GB micro SD cards which I purchased from Amazon to each of the cameras as well for recording purpose. I had only 3 cameras. If you have more than 4 cameras, you may as well buy the Reolink NVR with 2T harddisk to be more economical. The cameras had a lot of features to set including motion detect region, recording duration, brightness etc.. It can even record audio even though there was no microphone feature.nor siren . However you can set Larpse video setting and capture for the whole day or more. Besides, these cameras are 5MP resolution vs my old ones of 2MP only. I am very pleased with the cameras and I recommend them.
