Omgwtfbbq Iâve spent 25 years buying the cheap vacuums. I realized how stupid this was both for my wallet and the environment. So I bought a Dyson. And after the Dyson battery died in ten minutes, I called customer service and they said it usually lasts 7-8 so ten was great! So I returned the Dyson and asked my friends with pets which vacuums they recommended.Across the board maybe 20 people recommended Shark brand with no allegiance to a specific model. They all had great things to say about every model they owned. Why I ultimately chose the Stratos:1: I didnât need a huge storage capacity. I only have one cat, no kids, and weâre relatively tidy. So the smaller storage canister didnât bother me.2. Convenience of being cordless was nice but thanks to the crap dyson I knew Iâd rather unplug/plug in and maneuver a cord than spend time conning my executive dysfunction into vacuuming only to have the battery die. I donât need all that. Give me the cord.3. I donât need a lot of attachments and what it came with was good enough for us. HOWEVER: I wouldnât have been disappointed with one of those bristle duster brushes.4. I needed something that was going to pick up litter and sand. This model has a stronger motor than other models, so I picked this one with the idea that more power equals more suction.Let me tell you how it has exceeded my basic needs and expectations:1. IT IS SELF PROPELLED. Yeah. Did I miss that in the description? Because it is. Itâs already easy af to use but on medium pile carpet it is so much easier than any vacuum Iâve used in my life. Ever. The inconvenience of it not standing upright on its own is offset by the fact that it is self propelled. Itâs amazing. You donât know you want it until you have it. Trust me.2. This thing picks up litter AND litter dust that I couldnât even see. Additionally, the suction doesnât diminish just because you use an attachment. The angled nozzle is awesome for vacuum dusting around floor and ceiling moulding. The flat one is really great on the upholstered furniture and carpeted cat condo.3. Speaking of seeing, it has a light on the front which is pretty rad. Especially if youâre using it on dark hardwood floors and you want the satisfaction of seeing the black cat hair get sucked up. Itâs great for that.4. It gets down low enough that I can easily vacuum under a king bed.5. Speaking of â if you have say, a cat toy under your bed that you donât know about it doesnât try to suck it up. I mean it does, but it stops, you get a red error light, you turn off the power, remove the stuck object, in our case a 6â bunny toyâ and turn it back on. It automatically stops turning the brushes so youâre not sitting there burning a belt in the 5 seconds it takes for you to compute whatâs happening. What number am I on?6? 6. It sucks the ground up through your carpet. I swear. It gets things the Dyson is too weak to suck up.7. Itâs not very loud. Itâs a vacuum so it makes vacuum noises but for comparison my cat was terrified of our old school bissell vacuum, and did not enjoy the high pitched whirring of the Dyson. This doesnât bother him. Heâs pretty skittish and heâll stay in the same room with it running. Itâs quiet enough that I can ask Alexa to turn a light on or something while vacuuming.8. The odor neutralizer â I donât know if it *does* anything but it smells nice and thatâs enough to dazzle me.9. There is a little thing in the basket that is cone shaped. Maybe 3â long â hair wraps around that every time. Even long curly hair and cat hair. Itâs designed that when you pop open the bucket thing to empty it the motion removes the hair wads from the cone. Itâs smartly designed.10. I have 3 carpeted rooms, two rooms with tile, two large rooms with laminate, and a hallway. The canister is more than enough to handle all of that in one pass. But I also am in the habit of emptying it every time I use it no matter which vacuum I have.I know this must sound like overkill but I spent a week going through like 60 different vacuums trying to figure out which one I was going to blow $250+ on. And Iâm so glad I went with this one.I havenât had to change the filters or odor neutralizer yet and yeah, boo hoo it doesnât stand up so sometimes you have to inconveniently lean it against the wall and you have to store it with a hook or leaned against a wall but who cares if everything else is amazong?Just buy it.
Strong Suction I bought this vacuum and i am very happy with it.It has strong suction. it has amazing rolls on the bottom, can be takin apart into a few pieces.easy to empty and to handle. It has a long wire.itsts lightweight and my kids can easily do the vaccuuming and easily bring up steps
Finally! After having a Dyson upright and an Electrolux canister vac (both over $500 each) I finally found a practical vacuum that does what I need it to do without all the hassles of the previous ones, and for $200 less!Pros: It has great suction and is lightweight. It’s smaller head vs. the bulky $500 units is actually a huge PLUS considering the extra few passes it takes to cover wide open space. This is due to fitting into tight spaces better AND fitting under things! I could not be happier that it fits under not only the bed easily but also the large dressers and other furniture that are not easy to move. It fits under EVERYTHING. It seems to have good edge suction also. I like that the soft brush roll pops out easily and can be washed easily. Everything is user friendly and the hand pet tool with roller works well on upholstery, though not as much roller power, it’s sufficient for light duty. The odor neutralizer seems cool but for myself, I like that you can run the unit without the scented cartridge if you want. I like to keep things organic and I’m guessing the cartridge isn’t made with essential oils. But I really don’t know. The power cord is high quality and is super long. So you do a lot less plugging and unplugging. So refreshing for a change. Cons: Dust cup is small so you have to empty it frequently. I’m able to empty it once per room but I do have a smaller home. But it’s quick and painless to empty so it isn’t a big deal for me. The motor vents which exhaust heat are on the side so it does hit you with warm air. That’s kind of unavoidable with stick vacs it seems by the nature of the design, but they could be facing forward rather than on the side. But all vacuums put out heat and I sweat no less with this one. The only other thing, and it is a small thing, is when laying the unit flat to get under something you have to be mindful of the power button on the top or you can bump it by accident, but that’s ONLY when laying the unit flat. Frankly it’s a simple user adjustment to circumvent, especially compared to my poorly designed Elextrolux with the controls ON THE HANDLE. lol Lastly, it has a bit of a higher pitch sound which may take getting use to. Kind of like the sound of a blow dryer. Oh well, I can always use ear plugs if it should be a nuisance. All things considered these are minor 1st world complaints considering all the problems you can have with vacuums and poor designs. I’m super happy with this unit and NOT just because I was abused for so many years by the Dyson and Electrolux, but because it just treats me right! I’m calling it my NON-STICK VAC because I finally found one that doesn’t stick it to ya!
Knowing my carpet is clean!! You can feel the vacume working. It feels sturdy and strong. The odour technology is a bonus. The vacume seemed to warm up after 20 minutes of vacume. The only recommendation I have is is maybe not so much for a petite woman. It seems quite tall. I’m 5’6″ and it seemed tall, but maybe I have been vacuuming wrong all along. The pictures were taken after 1st use on a already vacumed carpet. AMAZING..hope it lasts!
Es silenciosa lo más que se puede en aspiradora, si cierras el cuarto, ni se escucha que estas aspirando. Es potente. Aspira muy bien. NO PESA. Ocupa poco espacio. Muy bien con el polvo y pelaje mascotas. Tengo 2 gatos y 7 perros…y solo con esta aspiradora esta limpia la casa. Muebles camas, piso, La recomiendo mucho
