Didn’t work for me in Northeast USA Attached the solar panel and faced it where the sun goes directly over it every day for the month of June here in the Northeast, regardless of a day with sun or rain the battery never went up in percentage. I actually think it may be draining the battery. I switched the wires on the back in case it was wrong still no good. When it’s night it says it’s using the battery, when the sun is out it says hardwired which is fine, but does not charge my ring doorbell at all. It didn’t even lengthen my charge. I gave it a month in June, no luck.
Keeps doorbell charged I was only getting about a month and a half before I had to charge battery. It took about 5 hours to charge, which involves finding screwdriver and removing battery. I have a solar panel for my ring spotlight cam and I never have to charge battery. Installation on panel is simple as I installed it where it gets direct sun for at least 6 hours. Just need to connect the 2 wires to the 2 screws on back of doorbell. It does not matter which wire you connect to the screws. Just connect one wire to one screw and one wire to the other screw. On ring app it shows solar panel connected and my battery is at 100%. One less thing to worry about.
RIP OFF Junk. Doesn’t work. Ring doesn’t recognize it. It’s easy to install although the included cord is shorter than official Ring equipment. Ring doesn’t recognize it’s hooked up. It doesn’t charge the Ring doorbell to which it is hooked up. Complete waste of money…Pay aa bit more and get official Ring equipment! I was robbed with this piece of junk. Made in China naturally RIPPED OFF!
good solar panel for Ring VERDICTRecommended if you have a lot of sunlight.WHYThis is a small solar charger rated at 6W at 12VDC. Note that the version of Ring Doorbell that accepts wired connection specifies between 8V to 24V. In full sunlight this will provide 12V. However, usually manufacturers overstate the power rating, i.e. they state the maximum power. In this case it’s 6W which means it likely delivers 4W. Still pretty good.
Nice looking and functional panel Since I chose NOT to hardwire my Ring cameras, I must contend with having to constantly monitor and recharge the batteries.Ring batteries last a fairly long time. But, when they DO go down, it requires me climbing up on a ladder and taking down the camera, replacing the battery with a fresh one, and then recharging the old one. It’s a pain in the butt, frankly.Slowly, I’ve been acquiring solar chargers such as this one to alleviate this problem. I love being able to mount the charger, hook up the camera, and basically let the sun do its job. Sure, at some point the batteries will have to be replaced, but that will be a long time in the future.Obviously, if your house is in shade most of the time, something like this doesn’t make sense. Hardwiring is probably your best option. But, for those with plenty of sun, a charger like this works well and it costs a lot less than the Ring branded model.
Doesn’t work and isn’t compatible This isn’t compatible with the ring video doorbell camera 4 it’s saying it’s not connected in the ring app that I have it’s best if you want a solar panel for your ring video doorbell camera it’s best to get it from the ring store and not these other people trying to sell you a bunch of crap it may work for other people camera but it’s not working for mine

Doesn’t work
Doesn’t work with my doorbell 3. Camera doesn’t recognize the panel is connected.
