Super comfortable It was just what I needed for my new rowing machine. The seat on the machine was super hard, and this cushion is just wonderful. The cutout in the back protects your tailbone from chafing itself raw, and the thickness of the cushion is perfect. Love it.
Comfy but doesn’t stay real well So this rowing machine seat does help with my longtime problem of the seat being way to hard for my big but and making it numb while I’m rowing and then sore/achy later on in the spots where the corner of the seat dig into me. My gripe is that it doesn’t stay put very well, partly because the strap can’t tighten enough and maybe has too much elastic, and partly because the seat ‘grippiness’ isn’t quite enough to keep it from sliding around the seat. Maybe the seat of my rowing machine is just too small? Not sure, but if I go too hard on the machine I accidentally slip right off the seat, cushion and all. The cushion itself is made very well and is extra cushy, but I had to modify it to make it suitable for my rowing machine, hence the 4 stars. I applied some velcro to my seat and to the cushion, which solved my sliding issue.
Comfy – but not for serious rowers Lesson learned – ALWAYS consult your spouse before buying something to complement her exercise gear!Wife has rowed recreationally and competitively with the local amateur club for about 8 years, and has had her own Concept 2 erg rowing machine for nearly 3. She spends approximately 6 hours per week on erg training, so I thought I’d surprise her with this memory foam seat cover.Only took about 5 minutes to install (while she was out). Sat on it myself (me who doesn’t row), and found it highly preferable to the hard stock slider seat. When wife came home however, she educated me very quickly. While very comfortable, a pad like this changes your form and posture on the machine – and not in a good way if you want to translate your training into results in a boat. If you only want to exercise on a Concept 2 and never plan to row or scull in a real boat – this pad could help you go “longer” on the machine, but not necessarily “farther” as measured by the machine. And would actually hurt your performance in a boat.So – we compromised on 3 stars (she said lower) if you are a true rower. If you’re just looking for comfort while exercising with no intention of ever getting into a rowing shell – you may rate this higher.Otherwise product seems well made, fits the Concept 2 seat as advertised, and arrived as expected. Whether it’s for you or not depends on your personal goals. And I’ll ask in advance next time…..
Pretty good, still not sure I need it I have read a lot about similar pads so I thought I would give it a try. It seems to be made well and compresses down quite a bit. I was concerned when I first put it on that it would add too much height but it settles in to a reasonable position. I’m 6′ tall 195 lbs and can use it without issue. I’m just not sure I really need it. I have been using a much thinner memory foam pad off and on and I didn’t really find it did much for comfort so this one that was thicker seemed like a better choice. It does add some cushioning though so I’ll keep using it but I don’t notice a substantial difference at the end of rowing.
Not a universal seat covering. Does not fit sunny. Not even close. Useless for me. I bought it because it says universal fit. Won’t fit sunny rower. Useless.
Perfect for a casual machine rower! I do not row a ton so in terms of how this might affect form, I have no idea, but it definitely makes the seat much more comfortable! Super easy to install and doesn’t move/slide!

Comfortable
My husband who is 260lbs is on our rowing machine for an hour everyday. He no longer complains about his butt being numb. 🙂
