Well made, easy to use, telescope down to fit easily into my backpack
Love these poles! They are a great size. I did have to read the book the first time to figure out how to get them to usable size & then telescope them back to small size to store, but after one time they have been super easy. And I needed poles that would get smaller for easier transport in my day pack when I didn’t need them. These are perfect. Well made, very stable. The cork grip is very comfy. The wrist strap easy to adjust. Love the different tips they come with. I used them for 48 miles of hiking during a week in Zion/Bryce & was 100% satisfied.

Best value for it’s price
These are great poles and well built. They have an internal cable holding things together, and are adjustable in height to fit your arms.Like all of these poles, they come with carbide tips for hiking, and rubber tips for avoiding marks on the floor. The rubber tips are not firmly locked in place, so with vigrous use, the rubber tips would be lost.I’d suggest putting some good quality glue on the tips, and perhaps some hose clamps, if you think you want to retain the rubber tips permanently in place. They work just fine for hiking poles. You’d have to spend $150 to get some light weight, telescoping poles (without the internal cables). That would only make sense if you were trying to shave off a few ounces of weight (which makes sense for competitors). For general use, these are fine.

Very portable and sturdy
Update 2: After the malfunction described below, I contacted Trekology customer service via email. It took a couple of emails back and forth, but they responded very quickly and sent replacement poles without any hassle. I am really impressed with this customer service experience and hope that the problem does not recur, as I am a big fan of these poles.Update after 10 months: Everything in the paragraph below holds true, with one unfortunate development, which is that on one of the poles the button that holds the top in place when extended has now, without clear cause, disappeared into the pole, rendering it useless. I’m hoping there may be a way to fix this, because I really like these poles, but I have yet to figure out what it might be.These poles are great for mixed terrain, where you need them sometimes, but not always. They fold up to fit in the bottle pocket on my field bag and are easy and very quick to collapse and assemble. Their weight is negligible, but they are quite sturdy – I’ve used them to support my full weight (230 lb) standing up from sitting and downhill on steep inclines. If you will be using them on rugged terrain, you would be wise to get some more durable tips (vulcanized rubber) rather than the ones that come with the poles. After 3-4 days hiking on rough cinder, the metal tips poked right through the feet that come with the poles, and the smaller rubber tips fell off/ got caught in the substrate within a few hours.

Strong yet lightweight
I have gait issues and had been using a Basso hiking stick to help with walking for exercise. I purchased these when my issues got worse and wanted support on both sides. I use them when I going walking to keep my gait steady and support when I start to get off balance. I DO NOT use them for full support as you would a walker. I am 145 lbs and 5’7″ tall. They easily came together and adjusted for my height. The loops for the hands is a great help so they don’t fall to the ground when I need to stop for something.

Love Them!
I got these walking sticks to recover from a hip replacement. I was able to transition off of the wake to these and am now just down to one. They are lightweight, easy to fold and assemble, and quite sturdy. The only drawback is the little feet keep swiveling around.

amazing value!
about to travel to the UK with a carry-on, i wanted a pair of hiking poles that could fold up easily and take up little room in my suitcase. these were perfect! i walked all over London with these poles and was delighted with them. The price is unbeatable (i have two more expensive pairs of poles at home and in the car, but they’re impossible to fold up into a carry-on like this pair), so i didn’t mind getting a third pair just for my vacation. They’re really strong and easy to use. Very worth the price.

Really easy to pack
These poles folded up just as advertised and we packed them easily to hike in Alaska. They came with different tips and that was helpful. We did have some trouble getting them to lock into place. We should have looked at them sooner, but I typically know how a hiking pole works!

I normally don’t write reviews but these poles have held up fantastic after over 200km of rough hiking (hills, rocks, rivers, mud) and taking a beating. They are lightweight, with a great natural grip shape and the cork is perfect to maintain your grip, along with the easily adjustable wrist straps. They collapse and extend easily in about 30 seconds for both of them once you get the hang of it. I like that you can easily adjust the height (I am 174cm) for going up or down hill as like them shorter or longer for each. They have saved me from wiping out multiple times and can take my weight. Well worth the price. I cannot comment on the attachments for mud, snow, rubber ends, etc. as I have gone without and don’t feel I needed them. I can really reccomend these hiking poles, probably best value for money you will get.
