Yes, they will work in your name-brand printer.
I know your printer manufacturer tries to convince you otherwise, but these cartridges work for me. The worst case is that you might have to go online and find instructions if your printer is really being contrary. I use these cartridges regularly; I can’t tell any difference in print quality or color. I’m not sure whether they last as long as new XLs, but if I can’t tell, they must not be too far off. I just hate paying full price for new cartridges. They are crazy expensive.

Excellent customer service!
I have been using these for a while in my HP Envy Photo 7155. the cartridges are usually recognized by my printer and the quality is pretty good. The last batch wasn’t recognized by the printer at all. I contacted the customer service and after some failed troubleshooting they sent me replacements. The replacements worked fine. I have to say that the customer service was excellent and worth the additional price over other refilled ink cartridges.

I can only say that these are adequate.
I have a little canon pixma printer/copier. It is a cheap little unit, but has been reliable and has served the purpose. I decided to buy this ink to try to save a little money compared to the official canon cartridges. Long story short, I am going back to canon carts. These carts work initially, but then after a little while the printer just stops recognizing them. The printer began flashing a code indicating that the ink carts were either installed incorrectly or were not the correct ink carts. No matter what I tried I could not get the printer to return to normal operation. There is no way the cartridges were simply empty; it just hadn’t used enough for that. Some people appear to have had good luck with these. I guess my printer just doesn’t really like them all that well. When I returned to official canon carts the printer got back to business as usual.

Great
They’re very easy to use and replacing both of them at one time makes it a lot better. The price was a good one.

Update on Stopped working after 1 month!
Very Disappointing. These ValueToner ink cartridges stopped working after a month of very limited printing. I ordered these because the HP ones are so expensive for my HP Envy Photo7155 printer. But if you only get a half a dozen pages out of them, you’re not really getting a good value. Maybe I just got a bad couple of cartridges but who wants to pay that much for such limited use? I won’t be ordering from them again! ***Update… I’m pleased to report that the manufacturer of the disappointing Valuetoner cartridges contacted me (even thought I did not request a refund or new cartridges) & sent me new cartridges to replace the ones that stopped working so soon after I installed them. I’m impressed because it’s not often that a business will stand behind their product and make sure that their customers are satisfied. I updated my review and only gave them 4 stars because I can’t be sure yet if they will keep working for me, but I applaud their customer service!

Used for home printer.
(HP Photo smart printer)
The print quality is excellent.
The cartridges have lasted 3 months with printing photos regularly & making copies.
Purchased March 1st, another April 1st and still, the I bought in March is still going.
For comparison ,the HP cartridges lasted me about 4-6wks.
The printer indicated low ink several weeks ago.
I use them until my printer indicates that they are empty.

Normally I buy OEM ink but decided to try this ink as a less expensive option. Worked fine.

It worked in my printer without any issues and it’s still running under my usage. I appreciate the value for money.

So happy to have found this! They included an addressed envelope to recycle your old cartridges. Free to mail in the USA, but I’m in Canada and happy to pay for postage. Print quality is great so far – no issues and the price was the best I’ve found. This is where I’m buying from now on.
