### Review of White Caulk Tape Waterproof Self-Adhesive Strip
**Rating: 4.1 out of 5 stars**
As a seasoned DIY enthusiast and a go-to source for practical home improvement solutions, I recently put the White Caulk Tape Waterproof Self-Adhesive Strip to the test. This product promises an easy and effective way to seal gaps and prevent water leakage in various areas of the home. Here’s my balanced review based on firsthand experience.
**Pros:**
1. **Ease of Use**: The self-adhesive design of this caulk tape makes it extremely user-friendly. It’s straightforward to apply, requiring no special tools or caulking guns. This makes it ideal for quick fixes around sinks, bathtubs, and windows.
2. **Waterproof and Mold-Resistant**: Engineered to resist water and mold buildup, this tape lives up to its claims of providing a durable seal in wet areas. Its waterproof capabilities are especially valuable in bathrooms and kitchens where moisture is prevalent.
3. **Flexibility and Aesthetics**: The tape is quite flexible, which allows it to conform to corners and curves effectively. The white color is clean and neutral, blending well with most decor styles, which enhances the aesthetic appeal of any space without being obtrusive.
4. **Cost-Effective**: Offering a good amount of tape per roll at a reasonable price, this product is an economical option for those looking to avoid the cost of more extensive repairs or professional caulking services.
**Cons:**
1. **Adhesive Strength**: While the tape is easy to apply, the adhesive strength can be somewhat lacking, especially in areas with high humidity or direct water contact. It may require additional reinforcement over time or in heavy-use areas to maintain its effectiveness.
2. **Durability Concerns**: Some users might find that the tape does not last as long as traditional caulking. Regular exposure to water and environmental factors can lead to peeling and the need for reapplication sooner than expected.
**Conclusion:**
The White Caulk Tape Waterproof Self-Adhesive Strip is a practical solution for those seeking a quick and easy way to address leaks and gaps around the house. Its user-friendly application and effectiveness in dry to mildly wet conditions make it suitable for DIY novices and those looking for an immediate fix. However, for areas subjected to constant moisture or for those seeking a long-term solution, considering additional waterproofing measures might be beneficial. This product is best used for minor repairs and temporary fixes, offering good value and convenience.

It was easy to put on. It looks great and is staying on well. Well worth the price.

Good product, works as expected.
Good product for the intended use. Better than applying caulk by hand. Takes some skill to apply evenly around the toilet.
Will need to see how long it lasts.

Recommended Product!
About 2 years ago, I had a badly cracked tile on the floor in front of my toilet and a few less damaged tiles throughout the rest of my big bathroom. I decided to spend the weekend ripping out tile and putting down linoleum. A month later, my entire bathroom had been gutted, most of the subfloor and joists under the bathroom had been replaced (rotted totally away in 2 places), the walls and ceiling were freshly painted, the linoleum installed, and all the bathroom stuff was reinstalled.
I had never done any of that before but I guess watching all those home renovation shows paid off.
One thing I couldn’t get right though, was the caulk, which i put around the base of the toilet, the tub rim to wall tile seam and all around the edge of room where the linoleum meet the baseboard. It turned out a MESS. It had thick and thin bits and the NOT smooth surface was a dirt catcher. I could NOT get it clean. I hated it. Soo… amonth ago I bought this stuff.
Granted, some of my tape lines ended up being SLIGHTLY wavy (nobody has noticed but me), but overall, it looks great and sooo much better than my caulk application.
I DID have to redo the tub rim to the wall tile seam. Using the blow dryer to heat up the tape made it a bit too stretchy and i must have pulled it to tight. It contracted a bit when it cooled down after it had been installed. It took a couple days but it pulled away from the back corners of the tub.
Still, everywhere else looked good and was holding nice and securely in place. I decided to give it another chance and ordered another roll. During the second install of this tape around the top rim of my tub I was VERY careful about not stretching the tape as I put it in place.
It’s been a couple weeks and the tape has stayed in place very well this time. No pulling away from the tub or wall at all.

White caulk tape
TOUSEA White Caulk Tape: Looks Good, But Adhesion Issues
TOUSEA White Caulk Tape looks promising for quick fixes around your bathtub, countertop, or bathroom. However, real-world experience highlights a significant problem with its adhesion.
Pros:
Clean Look: The wide, white tape can easily cover gaps and imperfections, creating a tidy, uniform appearance.
Easy Installation: The peel-and-stick design promises convenient application without the mess of traditional caulk.
Budget-Friendly: Compared to re-caulking, this tape provides a very affordable solution for cosmetic updates.
Cons:
Poor Adhesion: Unfortunately, many users report that the tape does not stick well, often starting to peel off within days or even hours of application. This makes it unsuitable for areas exposed to moisture.
Durability Concerns: With its poor adhesion, the tape is unlikely to provide a long-term solution and will likely require frequent replacement.
Overall:
While the TOUSEA White Caulk Tape offers an appealing quick-fix idea, its lack of proper adhesion makes it a disappointing product. If you need only a temporary cosmetic cover-up for a gap that won’t be exposed to much moisture, it might suffice. However, for any areas requiring a durable solution, especially those prone to moisture, explore other sealing options.

Works as it should, was simple to install, seems to stick to floor and toilet well.

This would work great around a tub/toilet. I tried under the sink first and pleased with the results. This is a peel and stick product and very adhesive so get your positioning straight. Bend it first and set it it place before peeling off the back paper. Remove the back paper as you go along your surface and a steel ruler would be helpful to keep the line in the middle straight. It is difficult to reposition as it is VERY sticky. Good product. It’s thick and will be easy to clean. Once I have tiled my bathtub area, I will use this instead of caulking.
