Great design, quality and intruder-detection performance
The Poyasilon Solar Security Camera is working very well as an intruder/critter cam to monitor and repel feral pigs at night. The 5V/500mA solar panel and long-range WiFi camera unit were easy to set up using tie-straps on a simple pole. At 100 ft away from the house, WiFi communication has been faultless, and with the 9000 mAh Li-ion battery, charge has never dropped below 80% even during several days without sunshine. The 120° wide-angle sensor and camera cover our large yard, detecting even small birds at the extreme edges, day and night (when so set). The first figure shows the 1/2-acre camera field of view, and the second figure shows the tie-strap pole mounting. False motion detection from strong wind is avoided by secure mounting, which proved easier than expected.Lens fogging during night-time cooling is visible in the attached piglet screen capture, but this was easily fixed with a little lens anti-fogging spray. The required VicoHome App (with camera firmware vers. 0.11.0) provides barely adequate functionality without paid extensions. Captured video reviewing is possible, but feels non-intuitive, and should be simpler. It should be possible to access microSD recording via network without having to remove the card, which at least in my case, is not recognized on my PC or Android phone. Ideally, the firmware should include an https or ftps server function providing SD card file network access.I avoid inadvertent data sharing by isolating the camera’s WiFi on it’s own LAN.Pan and tilt work very well for field-of-view positioning, although a 1/2-s lag makes control a bit fiddly during live recording.Auto-deletion of oldest files once the SD card is full is not, but seems it should be supported, at least as an optional setting.Other than those minor issues, the camera system works as claimed, and can serve as much more than just a door cam.

My second security camera purchase and I am pleased with it
Based my experience with the first security camera I had purchased this second purchase was even easier to install and setup. As the VicoHome application had been installed on my iPhone with the first camera, I just needed to select the + (add camera), confirm my home network assign select a name (back door) and presto it connected. And the best part was that I did not have to re-enter the 22 alphanumeric encryption code again (whew!). My house faces East so I set up the panel on the side facing South. The cable being 10 foot in length was nice to have. The cable is slim enough that I was able to insert underneath the vinyl siding (see image). The clarity of the image is excellent. The light feature is very good and does an excellent job of illuminating the patio and the backyard. I really like the voice feature and how it picks up sound. I like how wide of an angle the lens is (see image), how much the camera can be positioned and the response to commands from my iPhone via the app. I have not subscribed for the paid services such as the Cloud, et al. I purchased a SanDisk 32 GB microSDXC UHS-I card. Based on my experience with inserting micro disk in the first camera I opted to insert it while indoors sitting at my desk. Once inserted the formatting was easily handled by the application and took less than 30 seconds. A nice feature of the application is when you Select âSD card videoâ you can watch a continuous stream. The videos themselves appear to be frugal and do not eat up the capacity of the micro disk card. The first cameraâs micro disk has only used 15.4 GB running from September 1 until November 5. I installed the second camera (Poyasilon) on November 6, 2022 and as of November 19 the SD card management shows 1.4 GB used out of 29.7GB available. The temperatures have dropped below freezing the last two niights and the camera works fine. In parallel, I am able to view the live feed as far as forty miles away from the house from my iPhone, even while driving, with no degradation of the image quality.

Great camera
Easy to install, easy app, very clear pictures.Only downside is even on the least sensitive option wind moving the flag or trees will set off a notification. But thats not a deal breaker for us. We are very happy with the purchase.
