Helpful – Need Instructions, Though! When I received this, I had no idea how to use it, and there are no instructions. So I came back to the product page and then to the reviews section in hopes that somewhere there would be an explanation. No luck, so I looked for videos online and was able to figure out at least how it works.I do not work professionally with carpet, but I do often buy remnants that I cut to use for animals. I’ve had a terrible time with the cutting and was hoping this would make it easier. It absolutely does! Straight lines are now possible, and ragged edges are a thing of the past. My main problem is finding a surface on which to work. I’d like to know what the professionals use. I’ve been using a wood workbench, but am hesitant to push too hard because I don’t want to cut up my husband’s work space. It was interesting to me in reading the reviews that people who have experience rate this cutter highly. That helped me to persist in figuring out how to use it. I think with practice and a good work surface I’ll really come to appreciate it.
No instructions I got this to cut and remove some carpeting instead of using an old carpet knife. It does look very sharp and I’m sure it works well, but I can’t figure out how. There are no instructions included–not even a link to an online source/video. I’ll have to wait until I have more time to research how it works and then I will edit my review accordingly.
Go Beserker On Carpet Yes. Thank you.I recently had some good cause to remove carpet from several rooms in my home. This beautiful carpet cutter made it so much easier than expected. After a frustrating and exhausting attempt to use a standard razor knife had me rethinking the design merits of old cheap carpet…I mean dirty avocado shag never killed anyone, right? This wonderful contraption came into my life/toolbox.Weighted and sturdy. The padded out grip area is a perfect fit, reducing hand fatigue and chances of the unit flipping around. The design tents the carpet letting the tension and weight of the carpet aid in cutting. Knife through butter would not be misleading. The old carpet was cut down into rollable strips and the underpadding went quicker. I was able to rotate the blade to different edges, getting so many cuts before needing to replace.Easy to use. Excellent price point, for effort saved I’d pay twice as much and be happy. If carpet needs to go, order two.
Made my job so much easier I just finished laying vinyl peel and stick tiles in two bedrooms. I started cutting the tiles with an utility knife, then ordered this knife. It made my job so much easier! It comes with two blades inserted that you have to adjust length by unscrewing the only existing screw. Each blade has four sharp corners, so you can rotate the blade as each used corner becomes dull. The second blade I pushed all the way in, until the first blade wears out.The knife has a comfortable hand grip and cuts easily through the vinyl. Keep in mind that you only have to cut through the vinyl’s first layer. The tile easily snaps along the cut afterwards.

Not worth it!
Could not get the hang of this, and found it difficult to use. It tore my carpet instead of cutting it. My box cutter worked better!

Didn’t cut well at all. Went back to using handy dandy box cutter and some cool carpet cutting scissors I found online!
