Does it’s job I was a bit nervous buying the one since it was so much cheaper but it does its job and keeps my camera charged. Would definitely buy again
Working as expected, no issues I installed this panel in my back yard, and despite not an ideal installation for direct sunlight, it seems to be working fine. It is lightweight, maybe a little more flimsy than my last solar panel, but totally functional and working fine. The cable is only about 10 feet, so it’s less than some other solar panels, which caused me a problem in my front yard installation, so I moved it to the back yard. Please see the pictures to see my less than ideal setup. I’m pretty satisfied with it, but I am curious with this setup if I’ll get enough sunlight to keep the camera charged long-term. I’ll report back with any problems I encounter, but so far I can’t tell, because when I go to look at charge in Google Home, I just see the infinity symbol. If it’s slowly losing charge, I won’t know.
Not generating enough power. Connected it to my outdoor battery powered Nest camera and even with it set on the most efficient battery settings, I still have to charge it weekly as this solar panel doesn’t make enough power to keep it going. I have open sky right in front of it, full sun.
Works great, and can be rental friendly with some extra hardware This connects and supplies enough power to my Google Nest Cam, day and night. It faces South, so it gets plenty of sun throughout the day. If we had it on our North-facing side of the house, I have no idea if it would be enough. This setup is designed for permanent installation out of the box. However, it does have a standard 1/4-inch mounting hole, so finding a clamp meant to mount a camera makes it more rental-friendly than I had hoped! Look up a Door/Gutter Camera mount or a vinyl siding camera mount, and find one that works for you! I grabbed a 10-pack of metal siding mounts, two for the solar panel and two for the camera!
durable and easy to install This solar panel for my next camera has truly enhanced my home security setup. The 5V 4W output ensures a consistent charge, keeping my Nest Cam operational around the clock without relying on frequent battery changes. Its weatherproof design, coupled with the 10FT/3M cable, offers versatility in placement, allowing me to position the panel for optimal sunlight exposure. Installation was straightforward, and the included mounting hardware made it easy to secure. I appreciate how it seamlessly integrates into my existing setup, providing peace of mind knowing that my camera is always powered and ready to capture any activity. If you’re looking to extend the functionality of your Google Nest Cam with reliable solar power, this panel is a worthwhile investment that delivers on performance and convenience.

Great buy
I should have purchased these solar panels for my camera when I purchased the cameras. They save time and energy.
