I owned an infant optics monitor for a couple years, (from what I hear that is a long time for them to last). I recently moved and set up the infant optics monitor in my son’s room. I turned it on and the screen started having an imprint of an image on it that would not go away. I decided to replace it.
I was never a big fan of the infant optics monitor quality anyway, so I looked around. I found this monitor, looked at the other reviews, saw the price and ordered within 5 minutes! (I never do this because I always research for hours before I invest in something, especially at a cheaper price point). This was the best impulse purchase I could have made! I am so happy with it!! The night vision is great. There is no “pairing” process, it just auto connects. The camera quality is awesome and it is easy to install and has a great view. The night vision is fantastic. I love that I can zoom a bit with this and still have a pretty wide angle without having to switch lenses (like you have to do with infant optics). The battery life is great (lasts more than a day off the charger something I never got with the infant optics. I was lucky to get 6hrs). The range is awesome and works in every room in my house plus outside my home around the exterior. I just wish I had replaced the infant optics one sooner. I am even thinking about getting another one to keep in my living room and to have a second monitor downstairs that can hook up to both cameras!
In summary: You can’t beat this monitor for the price, quality, features, plus prime shipping. Don’t waste money on the infant optics monitor. For reference, I purchased the monitor May 2024 and used it for about a week before writing this review.

Amazing customer service and problem resolution
Our family love this monitor and we use it daily. It was inexpensive and we have been very pleasantly surprised by its quality, especially at the price point it is at.
Positives (almost everything):
Portable. It’s very easy to move both the camera and the receiver it you decide to (you can also mount the camera, though even with the mount, it’s easy to move the camera). They seem to have a good range: we can have the receiver across the house from the camera, and it doesn’t seem to have any distortion or anything.
Simple interface: Set up was very easy; didn’t even need to consult the instruction manual (though it’s there and easy to understand if you want/need it). The menus are very easy to use.
Picture quality, including night vision: Both are very clear. Not much more to say about that. It is also easy to adjust the location/position of the picture, either manually on the camera, or remotely from the receiver.
Sound quality: Easy to hear baby when she starts to stir/wake up. Easy to adjust volume from muted to loud enough to wake up dad in the middle of the night.
Customer service was able to resolve my issue with my previous unit. Fast and easy response via email with video to show the issue.
Other features: The receiver has a microphone so you can talk to the baby through the camera. The camera can also play soft music. We haven’t made much use of these features, but we did test them out and they seem to work well.
Negatives:
Battery life. With the receiver video left on, and unplugged, the battery starts to drain after a couple hours. Just keep it connected to the charging cord overnight.
First camera purchase back in October 2023, the baby monitor stopped turning on. Despite it being charged 100% and pushing the reset button. Customer service was able to replace a new unit to me within a week. Let’s hope this new unit will last and not repeat itself.
Overall: I would highly recommend this monitor. It’s easy to use, has great picture and sound quality, and gives us excellent peace of mind when we’re not in the same room as the baby.

Wonderfully unconnected
Call me old fashioned, but I love the fact that this camera has no app, no Bluetooth, no wifi, nothing. There’s no monthly subscription. This thing will literally work forever. It’s just a radio signal to a dedicated screen. The camera swivels which is great, and the visual indicator of sound is a great additive.
My singular complaint is that the camera doesn’t swivel down far enough and isn’t a wide enough angle. This is remedied by just adjusting the physical position of the camera, but I’d appreciate a bit wider angle. I’d also like a dedicated volume button, but instead you have to go into the menu to change the volume; it would make more sense for a dedicated volume rocker.
The night vision is fantastic. While the visual quality overall isn’t HD, I don’t need it to be and don’t care if it is. It’s a great baby cam.
