Solar works a treat, BUT…
The panels are very nice and are working well in my pick-up that sits for days on end…the batteries are always up. BUT the downfall is the tiny suction cups that are flimsy and allowed it to rattle against the windshield when driving. I replaced them with some bigger and more flexible cups that I had form a kit I got to replace some dried up cups that didn’t hold any longer. My cups hold the panel tight and no rattle or movement.

Good value.
Laid the unit on the dash when parked. So far so good. Did not use the suction cups, did not use outdoor, and did not get it wet. That’s why I rated it neutral.

BARELY useful at 9AH batteries or below
I purchased this pair of mini panels to be able to maintain a motorcycle battery over the winter. Neither one of these panels produced over one watt at 1032 AM on 17 Jan 23 (mostly clear skies, 44 degrees). As a control, I have a 100w Renogy panel rooftop on my truck. I connected this panel to a GoLabs R150 to read output. The GoLabs showed an input flicker, but too low to read on the wattage. If you check the attached pictures, my 100w Renogy was getting between 58-68 watts lying flat. Using a multimeter the open circuit showed 21v, under load 13.2v, and amperage at 30ma. I then spliced the two panels together using waterproof soldering connectors in parallel to try to get an increase in amperage, and the best I saw between 1141 and 1232 AM was 83ma. That would satisfy the C/100 safe charge rate of using this without a controller, and is how I would recommend using this.

Battery maintainer maintains battery
Smaller than the harbor freight ones I normally use, but so far has kept my lawn mower’s battery topped off and working fine.

having read the reviews I was already aware that only one would be shipped despite the picture of two units. It is great to keep the generator, quad, camper, snowblower batteries powered for the off season. cords are a generous length and the solar panel is easily mounted by screw, or in my case, twine to hang them so they don’t get covered in snow over the winter.
