I bought this group of lights for my 10′ x 10′ pergola. I think it works pretty well. The ambiance is nice and it has a fair amount of brightness. I connected the solar panel to the top of the pergola, so it’s mostly out of sight and captures sunlight well. There’s no ugly electric wires to worry about. I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Fantastic solar lights
Love these lights! I have no other choice than to use solar lighting on my deck and purchased these lights to replace old strings that had not only finally given out after years of use but were discontinued by the manufacturer. I don’t know if these will last as long as my others did but these worked right out of the box. Not only that, I only charged them for a few hours and they were still on into the wee hours of the morning. They seemed bright at first because they do burn brighter than my old lights did but they still create just the right ambience light without being too bright.
I like the fact that these are made of plastic and can remain out in all kinds of weather year ’round. The bulbs also unscrew just like a light bulb so if condensation forms inside due to changing weather conditions the bulbs can be taken off and the inside wiped dry. They come with 3 ways to attach the solar panels to a surface…a stake, a clip, and a screw-on panel. I like having the choice and was over the moon when the huge clips fit nicely around my 1.5″ vertical deck rails making it so easy to set the solar panels up.
I needed enough lights to go along 38 feet of deck rail and bought two 27 ft strands. Why use two 27 ft strands instead of maybe one 48 ft? Each 27 ft strand comes with 12 lights, the 48 ft strand comes with 15 lights, just 3 more than the smaller strand. I wanted more than 15 lights and the 2 smaller strands gave me 24.
All in all I am very happy with these lights and would definitely buy them again. Highly recommend.

Nice lights, but different lengths have different color temperatures (and bulb spacing)
We bought two different length strings (one 27ft and one 48ft) to fit around our back yard. They seem sturdy, are a good brightness for our backyard (around 15 x 25), last for several hours (maybe all night? not sure, haven’t stayed up that late!), and the clip option for the solar panel allowed them to be put up super quickly on our fence.
My main criticism is that both products (short & long strings) claim to be “3000K soft white lights,” but as you can see from the photo, the shorter string (right hand side in photo) is noticeably yellower, while the longer string (two leftmost bulbs in photo) is noticeably whiter. One or both of these is not 3000K.
We were also a bit disappointed that the bulb spacing is dramatically different between the two products (20″ for the short string, 36″ for the long string). At the end of the day it’s kind of our fault for not reading the description carefully enough, but a consistent spacing (maybe 24″?) would be an improvement and make mixed string lengths look much nicer.

Easy to fit and start working. The only improvment that I would have liked is to make them extendable with a comlpatible solar set.
